Upcoming Craniosacral Classes with Etienne Peirsman

Basic Course (28 hours) $460/$410 early bird
July 24-27, 2008
August 7-10, 2008
January 8-11, 2009 OR January 29-Feb 11, 2009

First Day, 6:00-10:00PM; Days 2-4, 9:00AM-6:00PM

The Basic Course can be taken as a stand-alone program for bodyworkers who would like an introduction to Craniosacral Therapy and may not wish to complete the full certification program, or as the first class in the Craniosacral program series. You will learn how to become silent enough to listen and feel the inner movements of a person’s body.  You will understand how to approach and interact with the Craniosacral System, and feel the specific cranial rhythm you are most comfortable with. You will study how the CS system relates to the whole body, enhance your understanding of fascial intelligence, and gain the ability to do a diaphragm-by-diaphragm release over the whole body. You will also learn basic cranial lifts and neck releasing techniques.

Each day during the training you will give and receive a practice session that covers the techniques demonstrated that day.  By the end of this class, you will be able to give a full basic cranial session.

Basic Follow-up (28 hours) $460/$410 early bird
Two sections: August 21-24, 2008 OR February 12-15, 2009
First Day, 6:00-10:00PM; Days 2-4, 9:00AM-6:00PM
(Pre-requisite: Basic Course)

This class will connect you with the 3 CS-rhythms and introduce you to the brain cycle. It will present unwinding techniques and teach you how to open the heart via the meridians as well as using a thorax release. You will learn how to create still-points, direct energy, and open the “avenue of expression” in order to connect with your clients using your “original voice.”  You will give and receive a practice session each day

Sphenoid Class (28 hours) $620/$560 early bird
September 11-14, 2008 OR March 26-29, 2009
First Day, 6:00-10:00PM; Days 2-4, 9:00AM-6:00PM
(Pre-requisites: Basic and Follow-Up Courses)

Birthing pressures on the skull fixate its base into a certain position.  The normal hardening of these bones gives each of us a skull that is locked in this ‘baby’ position. Without intervention, this position stays with us for the rest of our lives.

In this class you will learn techniques to increase the flexibility of the cranial base, allowing the brain to function in the maximum space available. You will gain the ability to release the trigeminal nerve, opening up new possibilities of intelligence for yourself and your clients. Finally, you will explore the structures that keep the dura in place, such as the ethmoid and coccyx complex.
