Dual Certification
Over the past 20 years, the field of massage has grown and changed tremendously. At this point, massage training has become only one aspect of bodywork education.
At the Academy we emphasize the need for a fully-rounded education in one or more healing arts and sciences. We feel that in order to create a unique long-lasting successful career that most students need to study more than one 6-month modality of bodywork.
Our Dual Certification students are more fully prepared to jump into a career path as most spas, medical centers and alternative healing centers seek applicants with more training than massage therapy.
Dual Certification is a prerequisite for a lasting career in bodywork. Over 70% of our incoming students are choosing a Dual Certification program. Any 2 of our 6 modalities can be combined into a Dual Certification program. Our Dual Certification trainings average about $12,000 for two complete certifications.
Once completed, your chances of receiving employment are 100%! Compare this with tuition for college (up to $30,000. per year, for 4 years) or the cost of completing of other medical or alternative medical professions:
-
Chiropractic: completion of undergraduate degree, plus $100,000 for chiropractic training
-
Physical Therapy: completion of undergraduate degree, plus $100,000 for p-t training
-
Acupuncture: completion of undergraduate degree, plus $80,000 for acupuncture training
-
Osteopathy: completion of undergraduate degree, plus$100,000 for osteopathic training
With a Dual Certification training in bodywork, you will be able to create you own career with the possibility of making between $50-$100 per hour and the option to bill to insurance companies.
If a six-month training is all that you can afford right now yet you would like to pursue further study, there are many options. You can go to work immediately and save your money to jump into a payment plan for a 6-month course-of-study in Somatic Polarity or you can go to work immediately and begin one of the other five courses of study. These trainings may be pay-as-you-go, and most contain a flexible schedule, so while you make money, you can train in an Advanced, flexible, part-time program, concurrently!
